I was 3, there's a picture of me in a Baloo the Bear coat sitting on a seesaw in Valentines Park, eating an ice cream.
Life was good, Ilford was still posh (mostly), and people were decent.

Granditers; East Ham high st opposite the station! New shoes Soliatio I think they were. Cost a fortune £4.99 I think! Too young for Take 6 a very tasty clothes shop also on the high st. Had to wait for work wages for that. Those were the days

nickyorkshirehammer 11:57 Thu Apr 28 I'm still not over the 2nd replay. Still one of the greatest games I've ever seen.
In general though Leonard. Overrated.

Life On Mars (Hunky Dory) "It's a God-awful small affair To the girl with the mousy hair..."
Wonderful, especially the fade / return of the outro (the result of a misaligned re-record due to a phone ringing in the next room on the earlier take). You can still hear the phone if you listen closely - Bowie loved the unintentional ending and declined all attempts to edit it out of the finished version. Rick Wakeman was the man on the piano...
